Our Eggs

The Sunnyside Difference

Sunnyside Egg Co. raises hens in small, mobile coops that are rotated around fresh pastures to ensure hens are able to express their natural chicken-ness by foraging for bugs, running around in grass and brush, and spending their days out in the sun.

DID YOU KNOW: The industry standard for "pasture raised" eggs is that less than 15% of hens from the big egg companies ever go outside a single day in their lives, let alone are actually raised on pasture?

FAQs

Yes, very different! Almost all pasture raised eggs in the grocery store come from hens that have never been outside a single day in their lives. Pasture egg companies are able to build a giant industrial barn, shove 20,000 hens inside of it, and call it pasture raised as long as the chickens have access to the outdoors.

Sunnyside, on the other hand, raises our hens in small flock, mobile chicken coops that are rotated around fresh pastures and ensure chickens are truly raised outdoors.

Sunnyside Egg Co. is not currently certified organic, however we use exclusively certified organic feed once the hens are placed on our layer farms and we use organic practices and never spray the pastures with chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides.

Based on recent studies, pasture raised eggs contain 2-3x more Vitamins A and E, 2x more Omega-3 fatty acids, 7x more beta carotene, and 3-6x more Vitamin D than conventionally raised eggs.

We currently sell in multiple retail locations across TN & KY but will be expanding across the South and Midwest in 2026. Please check our Store Locator page for the most up to date locations!
